LA Locals Love: Descanso Gardens

Los Angeles is a city infamous for its traffic, smog, and tourist traps. How do we Angelenos escape from the hectic everyday life, you ask? Just a short drive away from Downtown Los Angeles and Pasadena, you will find the peaceful outdoor oasis, Descanso Gardens. Located in the city of La Canada Flintridge, Descanso Gardens is nestled in a quiet neighborhood with wide, spacious streets. All year long Descanso Gardens host events, offer classes, have docent and self-guided walking tours throughout the gardens, while providing a place where the public can come and enjoy nature. This beautiful garden is a must-see for families, locals, and tourists!

5 Food Stops to Make at Disneyland

Last month, I was lucky enough to spend a few days in Disneyland & California Adventure for my Bachelorette Party with my best friends. It's been a few years since I went to Disneyland so you can imagine how excited I was when all my friends agreed to coming with me! Yes, we wore matching shirts and Minnie ears, #noshame! You can see some photos of my Bachelorette on Instagram by clicking here.

One thing I love about my friends is that they love to eat, just like me! I definitely can't be friends with someone that doesn't appreciate food or want to snack all the time. We looked forward to eating Disney food just as much as the rides...or maybe more? Ha!

At Disneyland, they have the BEST food! So naturally, I had to share my 5 favorite food spots in Disneyland & California Adventure.

First Timer's Weekend Guide to Sedona, Arizona

Visiting Sedona and exploring the Grand Canyon has always been on my bucket-list. We've been talking about heading out there for a while now and finally got to it this past weekend. We departed Los Angeles early Saturday morning and left Tuesday morning for a nice, extended weekend in the desert.

After the one hour flight to Phoenix airport, we rented a car and headed up to Sedona. The drive to Sedona was approximately two hours but a pretty, cacti-filled one at that. We stopped at a tourist trap (they had good pie, though!) about an hour in and continued the trek. Right before arriving to Sedona, we stopped by the Montezuma Castle National Monument, oooh-ed and aaaah-ed at the amazing structure built without technology and finally checked in at the luxurious Sedona Rouge Hotel & Spa.

Now, let me guide you through the hotel, restaurants, leisurely and adventurous activities you can do in an extended weekend in Sedona!
